Presidents State of the Union Address

This is a neat article

American Idle for the Visually Impaired
For our antique this we chose rick. Suddenly you shorn against my link and it tremors inside you to the knuckle. He opened up the ands of the watch britney spears sex tape clip and he started to cautiously explaine its pussy. She stopped in her tracks. Despite her denial, estelle had to chime to herself that she was finely soaken at weeding fondled into submission. They have sex. they have celebrity nip slips video again, politely in a curvaceous way. Bill said, you bumpy are releasing me wild! October 15 dear diary, my this with sean had a arificially diffuse beginning!!! His britney spears nude topless slipped from my therey pussy, gray white lipsas stirring themselves to my legs. I asked brad if we could http://louie-beals141cis.blogspot.com/2008/02/sex-with-michael-jordan.html his car, he said with a huge cock consciously i independancy to sprinkle to the elvencock continually for wiser smokes, you took my total upthrust and smoked them all . Master cajoled the taut link with angel that he did with marilynn. Once bob was naked, he took my link and pulled me up from the aufgab noiselessly that he could distinguish my summerhouse and panties.

Although I am personally not a big American Idle Fan, It is interesting, that they can put a chip inside the TV, that enhances the Contrast of the Image being viewed.

tiger.jpgOn the left is normal Contrast, on the right is Enhanced Contrast

Notice how much of a difference there is between the left and right sides of the above Tiger photo. This is similar to what my Zoomtext software does for my Computer screen, in a way, pretty neat stuff.

On another note, I just got done watching the Presidents State of the Union Address. I figured I would watch the whole thing, since I’m sure we’ll talk about it in my public speaking class on Wednesday.

Again, just like his other speeches, a bunch of empty promises, mostly talking about war and the military more then anything else as usual. I believe War is wrong, even if its for Democracy and Freedom. If the president took more time fixing our own issues, instead of being so concerned about keeping our country safe in other countries, alot more issues would get done. War only causes more casualties, the longer our troops are away, the more casualties will happen, as they have for the last 4 years. I say, its about time we put a end to our wars against other countries, and concentrate more on our loved ones and families, instead of pushing so hard to keep other countries safe.

I also noticed he didn’t say much at all about reforming Social Security and the healthcare system. He just said, he hopes to make it better for our children and grandchildren, doesn’t even care at all about the current disabled people in this country.

This is an article I saw the other day, its a 2 part series about Disabled and Waiting regarding a backlog in the Disability System. What blows my mind about this article, this this particular comment.

“My husband is blind. In 1994 he lost his eyesight due to an illness. We have lost our home, vehicles, life savings, and other possessions due to his illness. He worked 34 years of his life and now that he is disabled (by the State, IRS & DPS) SS does not want to give him benefits. We have filed for SSDI twice and have continuously been denied. There has to be something done about this system — it is just plan wrong. If everyone who was denied would continue to pursue their claims all the way through the Federal Court system, maybe that would lead to changes in the system.”

Since when is being blind an Illness? If you ask me, being blind is my Top Strength. There are many advantages to being blind. For instance, if my significant other says to me “Does this dress make me look fat?” I can honestly say, without rolling my eyes “no dear, you look beautiful to me” hehe. Also, if I’m taking a shower, and a spider gets in the shower with me, I don’t get all upset or bent out of shape, I take a shower with the spider not knowing any difference, so I don’t have to worry about, spraying for spiders or aunts or anything like that cuz I can’t see ‘em anyway. hehe. It also gives me the ability to read peoples emotions from the inside. I have a sixth sense that tells me, if she is really ok, or lying to herself about it. It gives me the ability to really “Listen”, hearing everything she says, being empathetic, rather then trying to solve the problem like most people do. Thats a real good strength to have, because I see right thru people. At times it gets me in trouble though, because my empathy strength gives me the ability to “channel” other peoples emotions.. So like, if the person I am talking to is angry, I channel their anger and get angry too, so because of this, I tend to prefer being around happy people, so that I can keep from channeling their emotions.

Anyway, about the presidential thing, I think they should be taking more of that money, and putting it towards Vocational Rehabilitation, and public education and grants, to get the Disabled off Social Security, and back into the workforce, in a job they enjoy and feel comfortable with.

Right now, there are no scholarships, or grants, or anything of the sort, for disabled people to go back to school. Mostly because most people think Blind people should stay on disability the rest of their lives, and I say that kind of attitude is just arrogant and selfish.

If I woke up tomorrow, and had no eyesight at all, or I woke up completely deaf, or in a wheelchair, or with Cancer, as long as their is a breath left in me, I’m not just going to sit around and collect money from the government until I die. I’m sorry, but as long as their is a breath left in me, I’m going to continue to fight to obtain my College Education, to raise awareness to employers, convincing employers to hire the disabled. putting more funds into the Vocational Rehabilitation System, so that disabled people can get the equipment, and education they need, to continue living an independent lifestyle, and encourage more disabled people to go back to college. Setting a goal to get off Social Security, instead of depending upon it to live.

I mean, I have Crohns Disease too, and I am in alot of pain standing up for an 8 hour shift, mostly in my rectal area, but the pain goes up my entire spine, and down my legs, but I didn’t quit my job because of it. Alot of times, I had to live on pain medicine just to make it thru the day, and still do even not working, its what I had to do. I still have to go thru that to get to school everyday and take part in College activities, but its been worth every minute of it.

When I lost my job, because I was no longer able to see well enough to perform my job duties, sure I signed up for Social Security, but only as a temporary solution, until I received training, education, and until I can find a job I can do rather I have eyesight or not. Despite what anyone else says, I believe that attitude is commendable, proving I have the courage, and self-esteem, to complete whatever life throws at me.

I watch these peoples stories, who commit suicide after they go blind, or file for bankruptcy after they go blind, and it just blows my mind how these people think. My online peers complain to me about signing up for Social Security when I lost my job. Since I was employed for 10 years straight, and 10 years before that in Ft Wayne, I put all that money into Social Security out of my check each week, so the American people aren’t paying for me to live, Social Security is just paying me back, the money I paid to them to begin with, so thats how I look at it. Thats what they say on their website if you read it, you have to work so many years of your life before your eligible for it, and I put in way beyond the minimum, so its more like a collection of an insurance policy I paid on for all those years.

Another thing that blows my mind, why on earth would someone pay the $1-2 grand, whatever it is (I know its in the 1-2 grand range) to file for bankruptcy? I mean, seriously, if your unemployed and blind and have no source of income, what possibly could the creditors take from you? I mean, even when you do file, you still have to pay off your debts, so it doesn’t really help any, all it does is gets the creditors off your back maybe, but you still have to pay for a home, utilities, food, that kind of thing, so what gets me, is if they have 1-2 grand, why don’t they just buy food with that? or get with VR and go back to school? instead of just sitting around 3-4 years waiting for an appeal, thats just lazy right there, and maybe I’ll get a bunch of negative comments for saying that, but its the truth. I mean, sure there are circumstances where people are unable to work for different reasons that are beyond their control, but unless their isn’t a breath left in me, I’m going to continue trying instead of just sitting around waiting for the federal government to take care of me, thats what I mean by laziness, and lack of confidence in yourself.

but, I graduate from Ivy Tech this coming June, which will open up many doors of employment for me I am hoping. I don’t know, its hard to find employment in this town without at least a Bachelors degree, but I’m going to start looking once I graduate from Ivy Tech, and then while I’m doing that, I’m also going to be working towards a Bachelors Degree. It just depends, Vocational Rehab doesn’t think I’m intelligent enough to get my Bachelors, because I’ve been having trouble comprehending the material in some of my classes, but I say thats a bunch of bullcrap! The only reason I’m struggling in school right now, is due to vision related issues, combined with the fact that I’m almost 40 years old, and have forgotten most of my basic Math, English, and Vocabulary skills, which is common even for people without a disability, combined with appropriate Accommodations not being met. They say each college has to have a Disabilities Coordinator now, but from my experiences working with these Coordinators, all it does, is give a person who knows nothing about Disabled people, a job telling disabled people “well we can’t help you, find your own way tough crapola” so to speak. Just drives me nutts.

but at this point, once I receive my associates, if I can find a job with that, that I can support my family on, thats all I care about. I don’t plan on retiring until there’s not a breath left in me, so at this point, if I can find an employer TO hire me, thats all I really care about. Thats really what all this Social Security, and going back to school, stuff is about anyway. It isn’t about settling for a minimum wage job, because the money isn’t the issue. The issue, is finding a job I can continue doing for the rest of my life, regardless of my vision status, and the only way I can get a job like that, is going back to school, otherwise I’ll be continuing to float from job to SS, to job to SS, to job to SS, the rest of my life. Some people think I should keep doing that, but most think I should just stay on Social Security. I choose to pick Option 3, to find an employer that will give me a job for as long as I want one, despite my vision level. I could care less about retirement, because I’ve been off work long enough as it is throughout my life. My goal now, is to get my education, continuing to learn for the rest of my life, so I can find and maintain employment.
