graduation approaching

Welp, after 18 years, its almost official. 18 years of struggling not being able to see well enough and figure out how to get information off the blackboard, overhead projectors, Powerpoint presentations, in my classes, it’ll be finally official May 9th at 6pm at Notre Dame in South Bend Indiana, finally a college graduate!

I tell yah, after all these years, I never thought I would get this far, never thought I’d graduate. I remember certain individuals in my life I’ll keep silent about, telling me I was a looser, that what could have been a promising Career field for me, was nothing more then a alcoholic addition to the Computer. Ya know how I respond to that kind of a comment? Sure, I may spend 24/7 on the computer most of the time, but so what, Computers are everywhere nowadays, I’m proud of my alcoholic addition! and you can’t tell me a kid who has spent his whole life on the computer since Kindergarten, cannot become successful in the world today with an alcoholic addition to something that is everywhere on the planet today.

I’ve always been proud of who I am, even if others don’t care, and there isn’t a person in this world I cannot train to use a computer, or repair, or design a website for. The only thing that is scaring me right now, is I was offered a Co-Op job this summer. I volunteered to get involved in the Co-Op program at Ivy Tech, I’m the only IT student at Ivy Tech who even took the time to volunteer to do it, so I’m going to be working for free this summer designing websites, or whatever they ask me to do for them.

I’m just so scared, because there using a web language I’m not familiar with, and I’m supposed to learn by May 12th. I’m so scared of loosing this job, I don’t know what to do. I’ve been working 18 years to get to this point, and now I feel like a failure. I’ve spent the last couple of years learning PHP, XHTML, CSS, ASP, so on and so forth, and now I have to learn a language called ColdFusion, and for the first time in my life, I am scared of something I have to do on the computer. I’ve spent all these years trying to prove myself, and this comes up.

So even though VR has decided not to pay for any additional schooling anymore, I’m going to find my own way to go back for my Bachelors degree, even if it means a stafford loan I may not ever be able to pay back, because I can’t give up after all this time, I refuse to give up now, but I may have to if all this doesn’t work out this summer. I’ve never been more scared in all my life then I am right now.

All I can say is, THIS is why I didn’t want to get into web design in the first place.. All these years my brother inlaw encouraged me to get into web design, all his encouragement and everything, and now I say, this is why I didn’t want to get into it, everytime I learn something, something new comes out and have to learn all over again. I hate everything to do with web design, and this is why.

but I have to give myself credit, after I lost my job last year in Boggs Industrial Park, anyone else would have just stayed on Social Security the rest of their life and given up, but noo, I didn’t want to give up, I busted my butt to go back to school, despite my disability. Ya know, for 8 years I worked in boggs industrial park, doing a job that didn’t pay any better then McDonalds, fact I make more on Social Security then I did at that job, and the hospital, for over a decade, but I didn’t give up because I don’t want to be on Social Security the rest of my life. Anyone else would have taken the lazy way out, but not me, I continued to never give up, now I’m excited about graduation, but scared of this co-op thing coming up, for the first time in my life I’m scared.

Leadership Academy Certified

Well, yesterday I graduated from the Leadership Academy. Graduation was held at Anderson University this year.

ivytech.jpg
Link to a much larger photo

Some of those names are hard to read, I understand. President Thomas Snyder is the head of the Leadership Academy for all 13 regions of Ivy Tech throughout the country. Most of the regions are around the Indiana Michgan area, but there were some just outside as well. We had a few guest speakers during the graduation ceremony, but I can’t tell you what all their names were, I forget now. LOL

upgrades

Well a new version of Wordpress was released the other day, the long awaited 2.5

Some people are going around posting their upgrade instructions, mine have been the same ever since I’ve run a blog. I use a shell prompt, using the following shell script:

#!/bin/bash
cd /home/username/public_html/blog/
wget http://wordpress.org/latest.tar.gz
tar xfz latest.tar.gz
rm -rf ./wp-includes/
rm -rf ./wp-admin/
cd wordpress/
cp -rpf —-reply=yes * ../
cd ..
rm -rf ./wordpress/
rm -f latest.tar.gz
exit

To backup the mysql database, I use this command

mysqldump -u username -p databasename > filename.sql

replacing of course, username with your actual username, databasename with your actual databasename. My SQL database is in the format username_databasename because I’m using cpanel, but you get the general idea. See, and you Windows guru’s thought the command prompt was dead, HA! I use the command prompt everyday in linux, and write shell scripts, just like in the old days of batch files.

Anyway, I have no desire to upgrade to Wordpress 2.5 at this time. I may in a couple of weeks after I get all my homework for my classes done, but right now I don’t have time to upgrade to another major version, because it requires editing my theme files for wordpress’s new gravatar features, and going thru my plugins to see which ones work and which don’t, and I just don’t have the time to mess with that right now until after my classes are done.

April 11th, is my last day of the Student Leadership Academy. I am going to Bloomington that day, to present our final project, and be presented with our Leadership certifications. Its like a little diploma, and I received 3 college credits for taking part in it. It was basically a year long class teaching us how to be an effective leader. According to them, leadership isn’t something your just born with, leadership can be taught they claim. I’m not sure if I entirely believe that, there are alot of people in the world who are not natural born leaders, but apparently they claim anyone can be taught, which will be great skills to have for any job I figure, so. This last day is our only overnight stay, because we’re supposed to work together that night to work on our presentation for the next morning. Since we have it done, I’ll probably just go swimming in the hotel pool, and probably hang out with my fellow classmates. The college reserved me my own hotel room there in Bloomington, the college pays for it all, so it should be loads of fun.

The YMCA called me yesterday, and I went in for a small interview. The lady wanted a better idea of how much eyesight I have, to properly place me in a volunteer area. She had a couple good ideas, and said if nothing else, I could always clean weightlifting equipment for 8 hours a month to get in enough volunteer hours to keep a membership.

One interesting idea she had, she wants me to come back Monday and interview with the swimming teacher. Their idea, was I could be an assistant swimming instructor. That would be neat. I was in varsity swimming all thru middle school, so I could do that, teach kids and adults how to swim. I told them a lifeguard may be out of reach just because if someone was drowning I wouldn’t be able to see they were drowning unless there was someone with me, and she agreed that wouldn’t be the best area to put me, but she thought an assistant instructor could be an idea. The other ideas they had, were working at the front desk answering phones, which again I could do that, we’re only talking about 8 hours a month, so I don’t really think any of that will interfere with my Crohns related rectal and standing up issues any, since we’re not talking a standard 40 hour work week here, it would just be when I felt up to it, so I don’t think any of this will affect Social Security at all.

I mean, if Social Security gets word I’m volunteering at the YMCA, they may come back and try to claim that I could work a job if I’m volunteering at the YMCA, and stop my benefits, but the way I see it, volunteering 8 hours a month is hardly the same as working a standard 40 hour work week, so I don’t forsee any problems with this. Again, it’ll look good on my resume, even though thats not why I’m doing this.

Besides, I think the exercise will do me good. Here lately, since I lost my job, I have been bored out of my mind, and since all I do is sit at home now doing homework, and taking baths several times a day turning into a prune, I no longer get the exercise I need, and all I think about all day and night long is “food” which is not a good thing especially when you have a condition called Crohns Disease, hehe. Because all I think about all day long is food, I’ve been going off my diet, which has been giving me all kinds of medical problems. So I figured, you know, exercising at the YMCA, and keeping busy volunteering, would fix both the boredom and overeating issues at the same time.

Let me put it this way, if I can do something where I don’t think about food all day, its easier for me to stick to my diet. Before I had work to keep me busy not thinking about food, but since I’m unemployed now, all I think about is food. I don’t care if I gain 100 lbs, I don’t care how I look, thats not the point. The point is, I eat stuff I’m not supposed to developing a food addiction sitting here, and I end up getting sicker from it, when all I do is sit here all day, so this will be a great opportunity for me, I think even my doctor would agree with.

I realize alot of people on Social Security don’t have a choice, but the way I see it, we all have choices. As I sit here waiting to go completely blind, watching my Crohns Disease worsen with every passing day, I could choose to sit here on my butt all day feeling sorry for myself, but I choose not to do that. I choose to continue trying to be active as long as I have a breath left in me. I think that kind of attitude is admirable, and whoever says otherwise is just being pessimistic.

amazing stuff

and my brother inlaw thinks I’m an Operating System install nut? I’m nothing compared to this guy, check this out:

How to install and boot 145 different Operating Systems

this is freaking awesome!! I used to use System Commander to boot between Windows, DOS, and different Linux flavors, but this puts System Commander to shame for sure. I knew that multiple Linux distros could be installed using the same swap file partition, as long as there using the same kernel version, but I didn’t know you could install 137 different flavors, that is just so awesome!! Now I’m gonna have to get my server computer back out and try this just for the fun of it, ya know that right? haha! I don’t have a 300 GB hard drive though, but I do have a 120 and an 80 lying around, so between those two I may be able to pull it off. I’ll just have to setup the partitions differently then the ones he did. I probably won’t attempt this until after graduation, but it will give me something fun to do for the summer. hehehehe.

Here is another cool reference I found the other day someone posted over at Leoville UNIX Toolbox I added it to my bookmarks, its basically a complete list of useful Linux commands from different distros. I was looking thru that list, and noticed one command in particular, the one on how to change the MAC address of your network card. I knew that could be done in Linux, but I had no idea you could do it that easily from a linux shell prompt, pretty fascinating stuff. I guess that does prove after all that it is possible to spoof a MAC address. I know WEP can be cracked just as easily, but how to do it I have no idea. A couple students in my Networking class didn’t believe me when I told them you can spoof a MAC address, now this proves it.

That is one thing I love about school though, its the only place I can get away with speaking my mind, as long as I have the citations to back up my claims. I can hardly wait to do my persuasive speech in the next two weeks, I’m going to persuade the audience to eat healthy. I’m going to talk about the Specific Carbohydrate diet, Makers diet, and several other citations that prove that eating healthy isn’t just about weight loss. I can hardly wait to present that. Nobody ever believes me, but this time, I got the citations to back it up! so cool

Vision Simulation

This is a Visual Simulation, of various eye conditions posted by the Arizona Center for the Blind

Vision Simulation

Of course, this is just a simulation, this isn’t even near close to how I see, but it does explain the various types of conditions I have to deal with everyday.

For instance, my right eye has Central Vision loss, so in the center of that eye is clouded like in that photo, but the left eye has peripheral vision loss. The peripheral vision loss slide is just a simulation, I don’t see black around the edges like that, the black areas just aren’t there, there like gone, so when I look out like that, that center area is all I am seeing.

Because both eyes have different degrees of vision loss, I do not see out of both eyes at the same time. For instance, I have to cover the left before I can see out of the right, because the left takes over. That has been that way since birth, eyes working independently of eachother I mean with the left eye always taking over. Its always very hard to explain that to people, even my mobility instructor doesn’t get it. She thinks I can use the peripheral area of the right eye to see objects on that side of my path, but she doesn’t understand, unless I cover the left eye I can’t see out of the right at all, and that has always affected my mobility, as a kid I was just stubborn about it.

Basically what I am saying, is when I was younger and could see the same out of both eyes, the left eye has always taken over, and for that reason among many others, I have been considered legally blind since birth. Social Security doesn’t see it that way, thats why I’ve always fussed with Social Security matters, because they haven’t always considered me Legally blind. They didn’t consider me Legally blind until April 2007, which isn’t true I’ve been Legally Blind under the law since birth, but they only look at the numbers, and don’t take other things like peripheral, and only being able to see thru one eye at a time, into account, that my eye doctors do.

I mean, think about it, if you can only see out of one eye, unless you cover the other, your basically completely blind out of that eye as your walking down the street, so why wouldn’t that be considered? I mean that has never made any sense to me.

Another issue I have that they don’t talk about at all in those simulations, is I see halos around lights every now and then. Thats mostly from the glaucoma, but I’ve always had some of that, its just worse now. One of my eye doctors thinks its just my eyes aging, and that I was prone to this happening long ago, I was just so young that my eyes could handle it, but I don’t know, but they do agree that Glaucoma is usually caused by Inflammation of the eye, and since Crohns Disease is inflammation of the entire digestive tract, why couldn’t it spread to the eyes as well? it only makes sense. My doctor just says I should thank my lucky stars I don’t have Lupus, which is the same condition except spreads to 11 additional areas, like the lungs, heart, liver, so on and so forth. I suppose I am lucky on that, but as fast as this spreads, I don’t feel a bit of comfort knowing that in the least. Instead of that fact comforting me, only makes me worry that it could one day be Lupus, so I definitely do not take the least bit of comfort in that. I don’t even know why he told me. I would have been better off not knowing what I don’t have, but could have, yet. I can only handle so much at a time, ya know?

The last thing I wanted to talk about, in regards to that simulation, is it doesn’t talk about the sensitivity to light that glaucoma patients experience. Basically without sunglasses, I see two of everything. Its called a glaire affect, but to me it looks like shadows around everything, kinda like the halo effect I suppose. Sunglasses, preferably ones that have blue light protection, take away the halos and shadow doubling effect, but have a disadvantage of blocking some of the light coming in to see with, thats why I wear a yellow pair that aren’t quite so dark. This is a disadvantage, because I need as much light as possible in order to see what I’m doing, especially that white florescent lighting helps a great deal, but it hurts to look at the light, so what I have to do is shine a florescent light behind me on the book I’m reading, and then use the sunglasses to protect my eyes from the blue light so the glare doesn’t double my vision. Its kinda confusing, and believe me I don’t understand it all that well either, but think of it, like how you have to wear sunglasses outside when the sun is really bright out? Well its the same thing for me, except not only sunlight but florescent lighting hurts my eyes as well, but the sunglasses themselves block some of the light I need to see where I’m going as well, they do for everybody I imagine, thats why people don’t generally wear sunglasses indoors, which as you can imagine impairs my mobility even more, which is why its so important for me to get mobility and cane travel training.

Not everybody who is legally blind sees the same. I went to the blind school in Indianapolis with many kids who never wore glasses or sunglasses, but I have to wear sunglasses because of the nature of my unique eye condition. The term Legally Blind describes a wide array of many different eye conditions, and visual abilities, just like any other type of disability, and because of that, there is no real way for me to explain to you guys what I can and cannot see. Because I was born this way, I don’t know what its like to have 20/20, and I never will understand, so I can’t explain it to you, any better then you can explain to me what its like to have 20/20, its just not possible, so alot of times, its just easier to have a white cane with me so when I’m at walmart walking around, or school walking around, other people see that cane and know I at least fall within guidelines of legal blindness, meaning they don’t have to understand it, just know I am blind in some way, and to watch out for me regardless. I mean, thats really the point to all of it I think. Some people, well alot of people, don’t carry a cane around because they don’t want others to know they have a vision problem, but for me I don’t have a choice, because any place I go in public becomes a hazard for me to get hurt if I don’t. I could not only hurt myself, but little kids or other people, so it isn’t just about me finding my way around, I also use it so others don’t get hurt in the process. I mean, most people think someone walking with a cane there gonna trip you with it, but that isn’t true. With proper mobility training, a regular person should never trip over a cane, and if they do, its their own fault for not looking where there going in the first place, because a white cane stays within that persons private space, so your not going to trip over a cane unless your too close to that persons private space to begin with, right up in their face I mean. So, when you see someone with a white cane, you don’t have to run away, they don’t have koodles, just don’t get up in their personal space and you’ll be fine, hehe, just kidding, but seriously you wouldn’t do that, get up into someones personal space while walking around walmart or someplace, so its no problem.

Governor

All eyes were on Lt. Governor David Paterson this week, who became the first legally blind, and the first African-American governor of New York on Monday, March 17, 2008. Paterson, who served on the American Foundation for the Blind’s Board of Trustees from 1997-2006, is now nationally recognized as a leading advocate for people with disabilities. i was shocked while watching this natural homemade anal video, don’t miss it. Amateurs are amazing!

Though David Paterson is New York’s first legally blind governor, he is not the nation’s first legally blind governor. Today I learned that Bob C. Riley, who was also visually impaired, served as Governor of Arkansas for 11 days in 1975

My brother in-law always picks on me, calling me the Mayor of Warsaw, for all the stuff I’m doing, but after I get done with my College Career, I can see me getting into a leadership role of some sort. Maybe not governor, but who knows.

The thing is, the word “Visually impaired” describes a broad spectrum of visual acuities. The law states “a person with a visual acuity of 20/200 or below, is considered legally blind”. I don’t know the nature of the governor’s visual impairment, but he could have a range of abilities that other visually impaired people may not be able to do.

For one thing, you’ll notice he doesn’t use the sighted guide routine, or doesn’t use a cane to get around. He chooses not to use those things, and when your in a high political office like that, you probably have assistance getting around all the time, so for him, its probably an “image” thing. You know, growing up in the bad streets of harlem, he probably just learned to do without. I know myself, I could walk down a flight of steps without a cane, closing my eyes, and being just fine, while someone else may feel uncomfortable walking down a flight of steps without the use of a white cane, so in other words, the cane is more of a symbolic thing, and personal choice, then anything else. The use of a cane is a personal choice that each person makes for themselves. It may be against the law to use a white cane if your not legally blind, but nothing says a legally blind person has to use it. I went to school with many who didn’t, and I never did either until recently.

I remember the first time I realized I had to start using a cane to get around. I was at walmart getting my groceries, as I usually do. As I was pushing my cart forward, a little girl came at me from the side. I didn’t see her, and she fell flat on her face. I felt so ashamed, because I knew if I had my cane, that accident wouldn’t have taken place. I could have seriously hurt that little girl. I don’t know if I did or not, but I could have, so ever since, I carry my cane with me wherever I go, at least in public anyway.

Of course, I know my way around my own home, I just have to make sure everything I own has a proper home, and that I put it back in that home after I use it, otherwise it gets misplaced. Its particularly important for someone who’s visually impaired to be neat and orderly, because otherwise I’d never find anything. hehe. Unfortunately, I’m too much like my mother, in the fact that, I am not a neat and orderly person by nature, so I have to fight with myself alot of times, to keep things neat. When I was a kid, I always had to keep a neat room, compared to my brother or sisters, because otherwise I would loose stuff, even though I was no where near neat and orderly by nature.

Most of the time I did anyway. I think my dad lost count of the number of watches I’ve lost in my lifetime. hehe. Part of that, was because I grew up at a Blind school, and kept getting my watches stolen by former roommates, because I had money, wallets, and other things stolen as well, but it was also my own fault, for not putting things back where I got them from.

Now that I’m an adult, my life is a bit different then your ordinary person. For example, most people rearrange their living rooms several times a year. You know, you get tired of where this and that is placed so you rearrange it, again and again. Well, when your visually impaired, your living room is always arranged the exact same way all the time. If you move even a chair around, it can suddenly be a danger hazard. I can remember as a young kid, I’d knock over lamps I didn’t know where there accidentally, or knock over a glass I didn’t see sitting on the counter, or nic nacs or salt and pepper shakers, or a box sitting in the middle of a walkway I didn’t know was there, but for the most part, as long as I keep my life the same, I always know where everything is, and nothing in my house is a danger to me, or to getting broken, so when I’m at home I put my cane away, because as long as I’m familiar with the layout of the room, and where everything is located in the room that I could possibly knock over, we are good.

As a kid, when I used to knock over my dads lamps by accident, I was just afraid to tell my dad these simple words that would have made all the difference “if there is something in front of me that I could potentially knock over, just tell me its there, and where it is, and then I will know not to knock it over”. I don’t think I was so much afraid as I was, just didn’t know how to get the words out in a verbal way. Most of the time, I just learned to be careful, and be more aware of what was in my path before stepping or moving forward. Its kinda like, if you know things are going to be moved around, you learn to look for obstacles slowly rather then just blindly walking forward.

I will be off line, off and on, for awhile this week. I got this darn flu and cold thats been going around, so if I don’t make a blog post for awhile, that is why. I’m just now getting over this flu bug, and I’m way behind on my homework for school right now. This week is Spring break, so I’m hoping to get caught up this week, but we’ll see. I’m just now able to keep down fluids, so we’ll see.

mid-term week

Its been awhile since I’ve blogged. I’ve been so hectic with mid-terms coming up, and turning in homework assignments on time, I’ve neglected my poor blog readers a bit, sorry about that everyone

Aisquared came out with a new product called Zoomtext Scripting the other day.  What gets me, even though The Department of Rehab got me Zoomtext 9.1 like 6 months ago, aisquared wants $399 to upgrade to the scripting version.  I’m like, there is NO WAY I am paying another $400 when they just spent $600 not even 6 months ago.  It blows my mind they want that much for it. All the scripting version adds to the product, is it gives you greater control over what is spoken and what isn’t on the screen, by introducing programming language scripting.  I’m like, I’m NOT paying another $400 just for that, no way.  I wouldn’t even ask The Department of Rehab to pay another $400 just for that.

I mean, yeah its neat, you can use java, C, asp.net, whatever language you know, but I don’t think its worth another $400, on top of the already $600 for a single-user license, thats just crazy.  I think I’ll wait until 10.0, or a new major version, is released until I go for something like that. Personally, I think, its about time for a whole new rewrite of the product, instead of adding on and adding on like they’ve been doing lately.  They’ve added alot of new features since 9.0 was released, and what they need to do, is go back to the drawing board, and design a completely new interface for all these new features they keep adding,  something more compatible with XP and Vista for instance, that takes up fewer system resources.  Since 9.1 was released, its slowly turning into bloatware,  and they really need to start over with that in my opinion, from the drawing board.

I found another cool app the other day, for instant messaging, called Digsby. I don’t know if I’m allowed to post the invite code to download Digsby on my blog or not, but since CNET did on their blog, I am assuming I can too. The invite code is “CNET”.  There are several other invite codes floating around, but thats the one I signed up with.   Digsby is awesome!   Yeah, its like Trillian, except it adds Facebook, Myspace, and email support as well.  I like it, because all my facebook friends are right on my instant messenger. Now they just need to add Twitter and pownce, which I am told they are going to in the near future, pretty slick.  Hopefully they’ll blow Cerulean Studios out of the water with their product. I’m still mad at Cerulean Studios for how their support department treated me after having conflicts with Trillian and my virus scanner.  Its one thing not to know how to fix the problem, but its another to be downright rude and insulting to me because they didn’t know, so I won’t ever download Trillian again no matter what Astra is like, there was no excuse for that kind of behavior.

There’s another service that looks promising called Orgoo. Its supposed to be an all in one instant messenger, email, SMS, and video chat service.  I don’t know, video chat with multiple people at once would definitely be slick, Livve has had that for a decade now, but nobody else has repeated it yet except for the gaming community in quite some time, so it will be interesting to see how that one goes.

Lastly, I heard on weblog tools collection the other day, that wordpress is finally going to add gravatar support into its upcoming 2.5 release. Thank the Good lord!  Gravatar support has been buggy ever since gravatar 2.0 came out, and nobody else has really decided to look into the issue, so it’ll be nice that wordpress will be adding that in the near future.  Also, in regards to wordpress, there is a rumor floating around that Wordpress will be integrating Social Networkng into wordpress.  I’m not sure how thats going to fly right now,  but I read that on webware this past week.  I don’t know if thats a good, or bad, thing yet.  like integrating something like facebook into my blog? I don’t know about that one!

House approves college antipiracy laws

In regards to this article I read about today on CNET

Well, the way I see it, It doesn’t help matters any, when the motion picture and music industries, point fingers against peer-to-peer networks like that. Its just like what they did with Napster, pointing fingers blaming them, when they had nothing to do with the problem.

I am the first to admit, motion picture and music artists need to be paid for their work, but the answer is not to put the blame on any one company. peer-to-peer file sharing services, like BitTorrent for example, don’t promote illegal downloading, Alot of P2P is used to distribute Linux distributions, which are completely legal and protected by law. P2P networks have many advantages over straight downloading, and its not fair to do that to the Linux Community.

Its like, walking into a store, stealing something from the shelf, then sueing the store owner for it. noooo, you go after the guy who stole from the store in the first place. Its just common sense, and I don’t think these companies get it at all.

If a person stands outside a store building, giving away free copies of MacOS 10.3  in front of Best Buy or something, you don’t go after Best Buy, or the people that walked up and grabbed the free copies, you go after the person who is giving away the free copies of MacOS 10  to begin with. again common sense.

Instead of blocking people from downloading illegally, they should be going after the people that are putting these illegal files on P2P networks to begin with. If they can track who is downloading, why can’t they track who is uploading these files to the network in the first place? Its not like we can put $200 into a slot machine and download a copy of Windows Vista, if a person sees it as available, there going to try to download it, more then likely obtain a virus in the process. That isn’t stealing, stealing is who put the file on the network for just anyone to grab in the first place.

Its like downloading a movie, why get all bent out of shape by someone walking into a movie theatre with a video camera and putting the AVI on BitTorrent? I wouldn’t download that even if it was free, I’d rather pay the $20 or whatever it is, to purchase a “good” copy so I can sit at home on my HDTV and watch it in full surround sound with a bag of popcorn like all us Americans do, right? Its crazy to think that could possibly hurt sales in any way,

Its no different then arresting people for swapping concert tickets, the police arrest those people, not the people who got the concert tickets, and that doesn’t hurt the sales of tickets any, concerts for popular artists are usually sold out regardless. Sometimes I think these companies just don’t think straight when it comes to Computer issues.

I think their just getting too greedy if you ask me, and there is more behind this then what they are telling us. I think the record companies are lying to the artists for one thing, because the artists don’t know, they just earn a paycheck like everyone else. My boss signs my paychecks too, but it doesn’t mean I believe everything he says. I do know whenever money is involved, people do get greedy and never think straight..

but it will be interesting to see how this story plays out. I think if software companies, like Microsoft for example, want piracy to stop, they should give students big discounts on Office and Windows products, because those are the heavy hitters in illegal downloading, and how expensive that software is, its no wonder consumers are tempted to illegally download, or borrow a copy off one of their friends. Students can’t afford those gastly high prices for software they need for school, so where else can they turn? personally I think they should give away MCSE licenses to enrolled students, or at least a fee they can afford, or is part of their tuition cost so that their financial aid can cover the cost, so students can still obtain the software they need for class. I’ve lost count of the number of times someone from school has asked me if I had an illegal copy of this or that, just because there was no way they could afford it themselves but needed it for class. I hear the same story every time “well if it wasn’t $200 maybe, but as much as they want is just craziness” and although I always have to say no to them, I don’t blame them for asking in the slightest, because nobody wants to steal, but to compromise, there has to be a better way so unemployed students and families who need it, can get the funding for it in some way.

Curb Cuts video

This is pretty neat. The Central Cost Assistive Technology Center puts this TV broadcast over the internet every so often about different types of assistive technology for different types of disabilities. This one demonstrates the CCTV the CCTV I have at home.

Curb Cuts. how visually impaired read

I have the CRT model that Voc Rehab got me, but as you can see, the CRT model isn’t very portable. I do use it at home though, which helps me a great deal read my mail, and textbooks and stuff. Thats the first time I’ve seen that portable model, something like that would be neat for school, where the camera rotates from a textbook, to the blackboard, for example. My Independant Living Skills instructor didn’t recommend that praticular model, because she said the camera doesn’t do a very good job of focusing at a distance, like for the blackboard or overhead projector, but yeah the CRT model that the old lady is using, thats the model I have here at home. Like I said, the only thing i don’t like about it, is I can’t take it outside of the house, and as big as it is, I really don’t have room on my desk for it as it is. I’d eventually like to get a longer desk to put it on, as I’d use it more if it had wheels on it for example. pretty slick though eh? They have another episode that talks about assistive technology for recreational activities too, which is really neat to watch.

American Idle for the Visually Impaired
For our antique this we chose rick. Suddenly you shorn against my link and it tremors inside you to the knuckle. He opened up the ands of the watch britney spears sex tape clip and he started to cautiously explaine its pussy. She stopped in her tracks. Despite her denial, estelle had to chime to herself that she was finely soaken at weeding fondled into submission. They have sex. they have celebrity nip slips video again, politely in a curvaceous way. Bill said, you bumpy are releasing me wild! October 15 dear diary, my this with sean had a arificially diffuse beginning!!! His britney spears nude topless slipped from my therey pussy, gray white lipsas stirring themselves to my legs. I asked brad if we could http://louie-beals141cis.blogspot.com/2008/02/sex-with-michael-jordan.html his car, he said with a huge cock consciously i independancy to sprinkle to the elvencock continually for wiser smokes, you took my total upthrust and smoked them all . Master cajoled the taut link with angel that he did with marilynn. Once bob was naked, he took my link and pulled me up from the aufgab noiselessly that he could distinguish my summerhouse and panties.
